Same old...
One final down, one to go... I took my history final yesterday morning, and I think it went well. I can never tell with that class, though. The Vietnam War covers a lot of material and the final was cumulative. I just hope I did well enough to pull out a B in the class. I should be able to, so we will see. My Stats final is at 5:30 tonight, and I am looking forward to just taking it and being done for the quarter. I am going in to work today at 10:30, working until 3:30, and doing the same tomorrow. I needed a little bit of work just to get some more money on my paycheck. I went to FedEx for my interview yesterday, and it went well. I have to go back in at 9:45 on Wednesday morning to interview with the shift manager. Nick came home from work really late this morning. He normally gets home at about 7:30-7:45, but today he didn't get home until almost 8:15. Apparently, they lost a trailer full of packages that needed to go to Dayton. Normally I would think that is kind of crazy, but the FedEx hub is HUGE. It is seriously gigantic. I'm pretty excited that I am getting closer to getting the job. It will help a lot with bills and such. Well, I am going to head to work now, so, for all of my non-existent readers, stay tuned for another thrilling episode of my life.

That lasted real long...
So, I really thought I would stick to posting every day. I got so busy with things that I completely forgot. Nick got a job at FedEx, and I will hopefully be joining him soon. It pays really well, and we could use the extra money. Classes ended up pretty well this quarter. Today was my last day of classes and I have a midterm on Monday and one on Tuesday. I turned in my paper for Theatre on Thursday, and I hope I did well on it. I had an A in the class before the paper, and I hope it is pretty close to that after the paper. I got an 83 on my second Statistics midterm, and, oddly enough, an 83 on my Vietnam War History midterm. I'm just really good at getting those 83's I guess.
It got really nice in Columbus today. When I got out of class at 3:30 today, I had to take my coat off on my way to my car to leave campus. Plus I drove with my window down. It felt so nice to have the warm sun on me, and I was glad to be able to drive around with my window down. I've definitely missed that.
Spring break starts on Tuesday evening for me, and I am super excited to relax. We're planning on going home for the 17th at least, and I want to go home for a little more than that too. But, I am getting a bit tired, so I'm going to stop for now...

So much going on...
Classes are being quite interesting right now. I had three tests a few weeks ago, and I got two of them back. For my Statistics 135 midterm, I got an 83. I am comfortable with that grade since I have never been very good at math. Statistics is much easier than I thought it would be, and I am actually enjoying the class. My instructor is very helpful, and she is also very understanding. When my cousin Micah died in January, she worked with me so that I wouldn't be behind on any work and so I could understand the new concepts we covered when I was gone for the funeral. Ohio State, in general, is not very lenient when it comes to missing class for a funeral. I was taking Spanish 104 this quarter as well, giving me a 20 credit hour quarter. My mom called me one day right before my first exam to tell me about Micah's accident, and I could barely stop shaking, let alone remember how to conjugate a verb properly. I left campus and e-mailed my professor explaining what had happened, and asked to just speak with her the next day in class. I went to class, and no one was there. So, I went to the Department of Spanish office, and talked to the receptionist who explained that in order to be excused from the exam, I would need to clear it with the department chair and I would need proof of a death. At the time, Micah was still hanging on, so I decided then to just drop the class and take it again in the fall. I also had my History 308: History of the Vietnam War "quiz". I say quiz loosely because it was basically a midterm. I was very nervous about this exam, but I did extremely well and scored an 88. My TA enjoyed my essays and said that I did well on them. The only thing I need to learn better is military map notations. I have never actually seen them, so studying military formations and individual battles has been rather difficult. I also had my Theatre exam, which was about African American and Native American Theatre. It was rather easy, but I have not gotten the exam back yet. This is actually my "second writing course" for my GEC requirements. I've taken so many upper division History classes that this class seems to be pretty easy. I am enjoying learning more about minorities in theatre, though. It is interesting to read how different groups deal with stereotypes and hegemony in society. Well, that is all for this exciting installment... Tomorrow, I think I will focus on the Iraq war and my views.
EDIT: I got the theatre midterm back this morning. I got an A+. :)

Welcome!

I've done quite a few blogs in the past, my first being Xanga. I then moved on to using the blog features on MySpace and Facebook, since that seemed to be the easiest way for my friends to read about the happenings in my life. My recent study abroad trip to England spawned a separate Xanga account. I rarely update my Xanga, and I haven't really posted much on Facebook and MySpace in the past few weeks. This, I want to be different. I want to use this as my opinions on the world. There is so much going on in our world, and I feel like I need a new outlet to share my views. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy what is to come.
